Questions and answers
How Zignaltalent works, in plain answers
Each answer states a rule the product actually applies. For the reasoning behind them, read the blog.
What is Zignaltalent?
Zignaltalent is a private matching and consent network for US IT staffing. Recruiters, bench sales teams and job seekers post jobs and available consultants. Every post is matched against the live market and screened on 13 checks before anyone calls, and resumes and contact details stay private until the consultant or their firm approves.
Is Zignaltalent free?
Yes. Zignaltalent is free for recruiters, bench sales teams and job seekers. You can post requirements, post available consultants, see matches and request resumes without paying.
How does Zignaltalent stop duplicate submissions?
A consultant can only be submitted to an end client by one firm. Once a firm submits a consultant to a client, that consultant is protected for that client for 90 days, so a second vendor cannot submit the same person to the same client. Resumes are only shared after the consultant or their firm approves, so right to represent is recorded before the submission happens.
What does the screening check?
Each match is screened on 13 checks, including skills, experience, work authorization (USC, GC, H1B, EAD and others), pay rate, location and start date, plus certifications and security clearance when a job asks for them. You see what matches, what does not, and what to ask, as facts rather than just a score.
Does Zignaltalent replace my ATS?
No. Zignaltalent works beside any ATS, including Bullhorn, Ceipal and JobDiva. Your ATS stays your system of record: jobs and consultants can flow in from it, and submissions can flow back.
How long do posts stay live?
Jobs expire after 21 days, urgent jobs after 72 hours, and consultant posts after 90 days, so filled jobs and placed consultants stop circulating. Closing a post takes it off every list at once.
Can I use Zignaltalent from ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant?
Yes. Zignaltalent is also an MCP server. An assistant that supports MCP connects through OAuth (or with an API key from Settings) and acts as you, with exactly the same rules as the website: it can search jobs and consultants, post, check matches and request resumes. See the MCP page for the endpoint and example prompts.
Who can see my resume?
Only the people you approve. A consultant’s name, contact details and full resume stay hidden until the consultant or their firm approves a specific request. Emails, phone numbers and links are removed before AI reads any text, and matching uses the same rules for everyone.
Who is Zignaltalent for?
Three desks in US IT staffing. Recruiters post client requirements and see consultants who fit. Bench sales teams post available consultants, see the jobs that fit each one and submit with the end client protected from duplicates. Job seekers post their availability and approve each resume request themselves.
How are staffing companies verified?
Staffing accounts sign up with a company email address, and the company is listed in the directory once an administrator has verified it. Firms that have not joined may appear in the directory from public US Department of Labor filings, marked as not on Zignaltalent yet, and can ask to be removed.
